The Value of Health and Wellness
Health and Wellness are vitalistic aspects of our being. We are born in perfect health and sometimes stray from that as we age. We can return to optimal health at any time. This requires making conscious decisions about essential things, like what we eat, how much we exercise and sleep, drinking enough water, and eliminating toxic things from our lives.
This seems so basic doesn't it? And it really is. However, I find many people have external complaints about themselves that are internally driven. For example, women often tell me they want to improve their skin and eliminate dark circles and bags from under their eyes. Good hydration and a whole foods based diet will dramatically improve these external complaints. Weight gain is another common complaint I hear about. Again, internally driven. Often times a complex set of internal imbalances can require professional evaluation and guidance. Success can help a person feel better physically and mentally, live longer, and avoid often inevitable diseases that accompany overweight body types.
By the way, we are now living well into our seventies and eighties. I see people of all ages in my practice, infant to the mid-eighties. The people who hold their adjustments better and longer are drinking plenty of pure water, eating a whole foods based diet, exercising, stretching, and getting 7-8 hours of sleep at night, and spending time with loved ones. They feel better, get sick less often and age with far fewer problems.
I encourage people to, "Make good choices now and feel better today. Then, as you get to the Golden Years your lives will be Golden."
Choosing Health and Wellness

Assessing Your Health and Wellness
What is Meridian Stress Analysis?
Meridian Stress Analysis (MSA) is a computerized bioenergetic assessment that identifies sensitivities, common aliments, and toxicities in an individual body. It is fast, accurate, non-invasive and affordable.
How Does It Work?
The MSA's operation is based on traditional Chinese medical theory, which states that improper energy flow through the acupuncture meridians causes energy imbalances in the body. The MSA measures the degree of electrical resistance through acupuncture points found primarily in the hands and feet. These measurements indicate the state of balance in the organs, glands, and systems of the body and can detect very subtle reactivity in the body. It identifies the nutritional and/or homeopathic remedies that will assist in restoring energetic balance to the whole system. This testing can also monitor improvements over time.
What Does It Do?
The MSA screening can give you an overall health picture and track specific energy imbalances. Your screening can serve as a first step toward arranging a treatment protocol with your doctor.
Is the Procedure Comfortable?
Yes. There is no piercing of the skin, and electrical impulses are not felt during the testing. There are no side or after effects. The procedure is safe, simple, easy and fast. It is comfortable even for children.
How Long Does the MSA Testing Take?
Initial testing typically takes only 90 minutes. A follow up visit is scheduled for two weeks after the initial testing and takes 30 minutes. The MSA instrument is programmed to cover thousands of test items during this time.
What Will the MSA Screening Detect?
- Chemicals & Pesticides
- Molds & Fungi
- Nutritional Deficiencies (i.e., vitamins/minerals, amino acids)
- Viral & Bacterial Infections
- Dental Sensitivities (i.e., mercury amalgam fillings)
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Epstein-Barr Virus & Candidiasis (Candida)
- Organ Stress & Toxicity
- Trees, Shrubs, Weeds, Flowers, Pollens & Skin Irritants
- Household Chemicals (i.e., cleaners, cosmetics, etc.)
Balancing Your Health and Wellness
Aligning the Body through Structural Stress Analysis
From the very start of my chiropractic experience, I have loved the energetic movement of aligning the body. I believe this is best done for most people by gently urging the physical body to a place of original perfection. We have a continual stream of things happening at once. These things are emotional, mental, physical, and chemical and they deeply influence our day to day living.
During our work together, I will seek to find out which of these aspects are negatively influencing your body and help to rebalance you in order of priority. If you have a biochemical imbalance, you will probably not hold an adjustment very long or well. If there is scar tissue creating energy blockage around vital organ tissue you may experience discomfort such as indigestion, painful menstrual cycles or decreased range of motion when moving your arms, or looking over your shoulder to check your blind spot while driving.
Cool Tools
To help your body heal and stay aligned, I use hand-held equipment that works very deeply. Working with your body's stored patterns of injury is a winning approach. The tools used are the cold laser, the percussor, and the adjuster.
The Cold Laser
The cold laser is the most profound instrument that I have found. Its purpose is to biomodulate tissue, that is bring tissue back to a place of balance. Research has shown that every cellular function has an energetic frequency ranging between 630-640 nanometers when measured. The cold laser is set at 635 nanometers making it powerful in the restoration of muscle, bone, and nerve tissue to its natural state.
The Percussor
The percussor comes from the osteopathic profession and gently releases adhesions, loosens scar tissue, adjusts cranial sutures and generally feels great. I also utilize the percussor to release torsion patterns in the Dura (the protective covering for our brain and spinal cord). This allows better spinal function to remain in place.
The Adjuster
Using the adjustor allows me to gently and specifically adjust bones, typically while seated, without using rotation or creating some of the noises normally heard with traditional chiropractic adjustment.
Cranial Work
The gently rounded plates that form our skulls are joined together at sutures, or long squiggly looking joints. I delicately realign these joints and plates as needed during our visits.
Also used are padded triangular blocks to adjust your pelvis, and I use my hands to move tissue, feel tissue, monitor changes happening in tissue and adjust cranial bones and cranial sutures. Color glasses and tuning forks can be used for more subtle energy movement; an example would be tuning forks placed on acupuncture points to balance energy in the meridian system.
So, how often will I need to come for these sessions?
The amount of past injury and scar tissue will help determine that answer. I generally see people once a week for a period of time specific to you. If you've had a recent auto accident, I will probably want to see you twice a week for the first several visits. As your body starts to hold the adjustment work, we will see each other less often. My goal is to help heal yourself.
Dedicated to Your Health and Wellness
My first love has always been architecture, and although I worked in the interior design field for 10 years after receiving my degree in design, I was never fully satisfied. I wanted something that was more consistent with my lifestyle and health perspective, allowing me to help others with their health. I explored various graduate degree programs in nutrition and/or exercise physiology but didn't find what I was looking for. In the fall of 1993 while suffering from a persistent upper respiratory infection, I discovered through a friend's chiropractor a type of computer-based testing. Within days I was significantly better and my life changed forever! I attended my first training for the equipment within weeks, and had bought my own equipment by the following month. I was so excited with the results and the way it could help people heal or significantly improve most ailments. By the end of 1994 I had attended multiple training seminars, set up offices to work with, and had seen such outstanding results that I left the interior design world to dedicate myself fully to the testing.
By the fall of 1995, I continued to be amazed at the results that I was seeing from the testing. It was at this time that I became familiar with Dr. Robert Fulford's work. An old-time osteopathic physician, he had developed a handheld machine called the percussor. Using the percussor to release adhesions in and around the spine he was able to free the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. I had been seeing a chiropractor for several years and had greatly improved my health, including the elimination of persistent headaches, and yet I had not heard of the primary respiratory mechanism, or the cranial sacral mechanism. I fell in love right there and then with the technique and the potential for improving people's health. I knew I needed to become a chiropractor and combine both Dr. Fulford's work and testing. Already understanding how important it is to remove the elements causing illness and/or interference, this combination could profoundly help people improve their lives! This quickly led to the decision to move to Dallas, Texas in 1996 to start my biggest challenge yet - chiropractic college. I graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in January 2000 and started my practice.
Now, I am living my dream. In my practice, I provide low-force and no-force chiropractic techniques that include cranial adjustments and percussor work. I offer Meridian Stress Analysis (MSA) testing, which combines homeopathy, herbs and nutrition to provide a balanced, customized program. I continue to see and be a part of amazing health improvements for those I work with. As for my love of architecture, it doesn't get any better than the human body!
"I am dedicated to supporting people in their active movement toward embodying the best of health and happiness."
Your Path to Health and Wellness
We are fundamentally designed to be in perfect balance and order. I have believed this for years and it forms the foundation of my approach to health and wellness.
Whether we are doing testing work or structural work together, my questions are always the same: what is creating the imbalance and how can we re-balance your body? The answers involve removing toxins, re-establishing gut balance, supplying needed nutrition, adjusting the spine and cranium, releasing scar tissue that blocks correct energy flow and good lifestyle choices.
Clinical experience has shown me repeatedly that these simple steps work. It does require dedication and discipline on your part to really live a healthy life. It can be too easy to make decisions that compromise well being.
I get to see so many things in my practice, in fact I lovingly refer to my practice as "this human laboratory we live and work in", and the same theme comes up over and over again:
"Take care of yourself and your health and you'll reap the rewards all throughout your life."
